Camp, Housing & Improvement Master Plan
Overview
Action Items identified in the The Girl Scouts – Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas Strategic Plan included the process of updating, planning and implementing improvements to several of their properties, namely Camp Cahinnio, Camp Crossed Arrows and The STEAM Center at Burnham Woods. These plans would primarily focus on the review of existing facilities, the identification of future building sites as well the basic outline design of programs and features to be constructed on those sites. Many of these projects include the addition or renovation of housing or accommodations, and large meeting and event spaces that also double as food service facilities. The Diamonds Camp Improvement Master Plan is intended to guide the future physical development of the organization for the next 10 to 15 years. The plan sets the framework for future vehicular and pedestrian circulation throughout each camp, as well as the location of future facilities identified by the Girl Scout leadership as necessary to meet the needs and personal development of all troops.
