UA-RICH Mountain Campus Master Plan

Overview

University of Arkansas – Rich Mountain recognized the need to develop and implement a comprehensive plan to maximize use of institutional resources outlined in the goals of their Strategic Plan.  Action Items identified in the Strategic Plan included the process of updating, planning and implementing improvements to the Campus Master Plan of a new Campus Master Plan, primarily focusing on the review of existing facilities, and identification of future building sites. The objectives identified for the master plan included:

Allied Health Building | A new Allied Health Building is needed due to the large number of University of Arkansas – Rich Mountain students who pursue certification in the Nursing and Healthcare fields. Classes required for CNA, LPN, RN, EMT, PTA, OTA, Paramedic, and Medical Billing and Coding will be taught in this facility

Fitness, Recreation & Athletics Facility | The University of Arkansas – Rich Mountain is seeking approval to start an athletics program. If approved, these programs will need facilities for competition, practice, and support of the program. A new Fitness, Recreation, and Athletics Facility can also be utilized by the student body and community to support a healthy lifestyle.

Student Housing | As the mission of University of Arkansas – Rich Mountain continues to grow, the need for on campus housing will become critical to attract traditional students and those participating in the college’s new athletic programs

On-Site Parking | The new facilities mentioned above should take advantage of existing on-site parking wherever possible. Additional parking or modifications of existing parking may be necessitated in order to site future facilities to maximize vehicular and pedestrian circulation on campus.
