Blakemore Field Renovations Phase 1 & 2

Overview

Completed in phases and guided by the recently completed Blakemore Field Masterplan the Additions and Renovation to Blakemore Field gave a fresh face to the public by rethinking the experience of user.

Phase 1 included demolition of the existing entrance gate building and fencing while replacing it with a new ticket booth, gift shop, visitors’ concessions, public plazas, new decorative fencing, wide sidewalks and landscaping. Existing parking lots were resurfaced, and new parking was added.

Phase 2 included the demolition of the no longer viable Izard Elementary School while retaining the more recently completed classroom addition. The classroom addition was converted into a Soccer coaching facility and the once interior corridor was given a new exterior façade and entrance. The existing weight and locker rooms were given an exterior renovation and both facilities were painted to match and blend in with the other recently completed renovations in phase 1 to give a cohesive look and feel to the entire Blakemore Field Campus. Additional parking and bus drive was added to provide enough parking for graduation and large sporting events.
