Pleasant View Old Main
Overview
MAHG Architecture led a comprehensive renovation of the historic 5,500-square-foot Old Main Building for the Mulberry-Pleasant View School District. Located on the Pleasant View Junior High School campus, the building—due to its age—presented a number of structural and functional challenges. MAHG worked in close collaboration with the school district and the construction team to thoughtfully address these issues, preserving the building’s legacy while updating it to meet modern standards.
The renovated Old Main Building now houses critical administrative offices, dedicated health service areas, and three specialized intervention classrooms. The design focused on enhancing functionality, accessibility, and safety, while maintaining respect for the character of the original structure. This revitalization ensures the facility can continue to serve the school community effectively for years to come.
