Ramsey Middle School Performing Arts Wing
Overview
After a fire damaged the Performing Arts wing at Ramsey Middle School, the Fort Smith School District engaged MAHG Architecture to renovate the 18,000-square-foot area, which includes the Band Room, Orchestra Room, Choir Room, and Auditorium. Significant smoke damage necessitated the demolition of ceilings and acoustical panels, along with the abatement of the Auditorium ceiling. The renovation placed special emphasis on acoustics and lighting to ensure optimal sound quality across all spaces. In addition, exterior windows and doors were replaced, and the HVAC and electrical systems were upgradedādelivering a comprehensive revitalization for students and staff upon their return.
