Our Services

The firm comprises four primary service areas integrated into one professional practice:

Architecture, Interiors, Planning & Sustainability.

We strive to incorporate each client’s architectural aspiration as well as our expertise in interior design, master planning and sustainability. For us, the best design comes when we forge a true partnership with our clients, engaging them in the design process and listening to their needs. Hands-on principal involvement, design excellence, and sustainability cut across all of our work, allowing us to reach the greatest potential for each project we work on.

The definition of architecture calls it ‘the design of buildings and spaces’. MAHG practices an architecture that extends well beyond that definition to something much more complex. We strive to create buildings and spaces that meet our client’s needs, develop a sense of community, and transform our environment. We offer clients a full range of architectural design services, from concept through construction. Our firm includes experts in sustainable design, code compliance, contract administration, and building information modeling who contribute to our projects and create a truly collaborative process.

Along with the exterior aesthetic our buildings create, we strive to create interior architecture that adds value to the building and experience within each space. With the average person spending 90% of their time indoors, it is imperative we spend time designing the interior with the exterior in order to develop a complete building. Beyond selecting colors and lighting and furniture, we see our role as imagining how people will interact with and be affected by a space, and how we can enrich their time in it. Our firm offers full-service interior design, lighting design, and furniture, fixture & equipment (FF&E) procurement.

Planning allows us bring together a team of architects, landscape architects and urban planners. Through this collaborative team, we help clients through the creation of masterplans with a multitude of stakeholders to refine a unified vision for the project, and then frame that vision in a way that moves the project forward.

As one of the first architectural firms in western Arkansas to truly embrace sustainable design, MAHG advocates that good design, construction and sustainability go hand-in-hand. MAHG’s sustainable projects include King Elementary School in the Van Buren School District. King was the first Arkansas school to achieve the environmentally friendly LEED for Schools Gold Certification and was designated the 2013 LEED Project of the Year by the U.S. Green Building Council Arkansas Chapter. Other LEED and sustainable MAHG projects include the Johnson Dermatology Clinic in Fort Smith, the City of Van Buren, AR Senior Activity Center and Library, the City of Poteau, OK Public Library, the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith Boreham Library expansion and the Razorback Basketball Performance Center at UA Fayetteville.
